Accelerated Charter Elementary School is a public, charter school located in Los Angeles on the corner of Main St. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and was an expansion and reuse of an existing school site. The site had existing commercial/industrial structures which had been converted and used as classrooms, a gym, labs, and a cafeteria. These buildings were demolished with the exception of the cafeteria building, which was retrofitted. All other facilities were constructed new. ACR was involved in the Second level central courtyard configuration of play and teaching space. ACR game court markings, that had to have maximum of cross slope of 2% over the entire area.
