ADA Compliance: Attorney Advice vs. CASp Inspection & Reports Video Highlights:

In this video, we'd like to recognize the crucial role of our independent DSA Inspector & DSA CASp Inspector, Jason James in our workflow. His job is to inspect a property to ensure that it meets ADA standards and covers every vulnerability. Once our team completes a project, he inspects the work to guarantee that it meets the highest standards. Our team is made up of independently hyper-specialized individuals, and their independence allows for more objective reporting and better results. The checks and balances carried out before, during, and after the project are crucial to ensure that you get the best possible outcome.

Most properties can be made accessible, but in rare cases where it's physically impossible to meet compliance standards, multiple experts, including designers, inspectors, and architects, are consulted to make that determination. According to division two scoping, if the code cannot be met, best-case scenarios must be identified. Local enforcing agencies will make the final determination, and we will debate with the city using all our professionals. Ultimately, the local authority will agree that all other options have been exhausted, and the plans will be approved. This process guarantees that a record of the local authority and team on compliance is available in case of any complaints in the future, which will ultimately protect you as all efforts have been exhausted, and there is a record of it.

It's worth noting that only structural walls meet the definition of "Technically Infeasible." Merely having to move a wall to widen a bathroom or meet ADA requirements doesn't automatically meet this criteria.
